    School ICT Services has built a great reputation around a responsive, knowledgeable and reliable service. The quality of our service is shaped around our experienced team of support staff and consultants that have, on average, 10 years of working in the education MIS/ICT environment.

    Our team includes former local authority MIS, ICT and finance support staff together with former teachers and school data managers. Every member of our support team has significant experience in their selected field of expertise.

    Steven Hutton Managing Director


    SSteve has held a number of roles in the ICT market and moved into the education sector in 2001 joining Research Machines (RM). Steve subsequently worked at Capita before joining Enterprise Managed Services Ltd in 2006. During his time at Enterprise is had responsibility for Business Development and in 2008 took on responsibility for the ICT Managed Services arm, primarily focused on Enterprise’s contract with Leeds City Council delivering SIMS and MIS support services to the authority’s 250+ schools. As Managing Director of School ICT Services he takes overall responsibility for the company’s strategic development and continued growth.

    Mark Blackwood MIS Director

    Mark has played a central role in the support and development of MIS in Leeds for over 20 years from the initial roll-out of the SIMS software into the authority. He commenced work in Leeds as a Chemistry Teacher in 1986 before moving into the local authority in 1990 to assist in the formation of the Leeds SIMS team. Today Mark is responsible for the SIMS team at School ICT Services whilst providing day-to-day support and consultancy on NOVA-T, Cover, Attendance and Behaviour modules.

    Dan Preston Technical Director

    Having joined the MIS unit of Leeds City Council in 1993 in a technical capacity, Dan moved into the Training and support team in 1999. As a member of School ICT Services senior management team, Dan takes responsibility for the technical direction of the business together with specialist SIMS support in the areas of System Manager and SIMS.net reporting.

    Kay Vickers SIMS Consultant


    SKay joined us in 2010 having previously spent three years providing SIMS support to schools in Cheshire and seven years as a Data and Network Manager in Cheshire High School. Kay is highly experienced in the use of SIMS in High school environments and benefits from having a broad level of skill across all key modules. Much of her time is spent delivering onsite training and consultancy services to our High school and Academy customers across the north of England.

    Sarah O'Neill SIMS Consultant


    SSarah joined the team in March 2012 having spent 12 years as a Data Manager in a High School environment. She initially joined to take on the role of Business Admin and moved into a SIMS Consultant role to support the company’s growth. Her High School knowlegde is proving to be an invaluable asset to the MIS support team.

    Ben Felton SIMS Consultant


    SBen started his working career with the Education Leeds ICT Development Agency in 2003 working on the helpdesk. After two years developing his skills, Ben was promoted into a training and consultancy role and now leads on our Assessment portfolio. Ben has been instrumental in the development of our AssessmentMap product and is a Director of Edumap Ltd, our joint venture company formed to develop innovative school administration software solutions.

    Helen Coneyworth SIMS Consultant


    SHelen joined us in 2014 from East Riding of Yorkshire LA where she spent 10 years providing SIMS support to county’s schools. She has a wealth of broad SIMS knowledge and is an excellent recent addition to our team.
    She has specialist knowledge in: SIMS .netCore Application, Census, Personnel 7, Dinner Money, Behaviour

    Jason Brown SIMS Consultant


    SJason joined the support team at Enterprise Managed Services in 2007 having previously been employed by Doncaster Local Authority as a School Finance Officer for 11 years. With this background Jason comfortably slotted into the role of providing FMS, School Fund and Dinner Money support at Enterprise and this role continues at School ICT Services.

    Ali Woodley SIMS Consultant


    SAli is the latest addition to the SIMS support team having spent 6 years working as Data Manager at King Edward VI Grammar School in Lincolnshire. As an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school and significant user of SIMS, the school relied upon Ali to drive forward a number of data related projects from the implementation and ongoing use of SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG) to the setting-up of comprehensive assessment frameworks and innovative timetabling solutions. She therefore brings a wealth of High School experience to the team as well as excellent all-round SIMS knowledge

    Kellie Tillery SIMS Consultant

    Kellie Tillery joined us in September 2016 from Barnsley Council’s SIMS Support team (also known as Code Green). Kellie will be working from the Leeds office for the foreseeable future but her location on the South Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire border is ideal to help service the new schools that we have acquired in these areas.

    Simon Wilson Technical Services Manager


    SSimon joined Leeds City Council from university in 1996 to undertake a technical support role within the MIS unit. He was appointed to the position of Technical Team Leader in 1999 responsible for the MIS team. In 2007 Simon took on responsibility for both curriculum and technical services whilst at Enterprise and now retains this role at School ICT Services.

    Angela Thompson ICT Consultant


    SAngela was the Network Manager at Feversham College in Bradford for 4 years to 2010 before moving out to Spain. On her return to the UK we were fortunate to employ her on a temporary basis before taking her on full time in February 2014. Angela will be supporting Dan our Technical Director with several technical projects over the coming 12 months.

    Mike Hall ICT Engineer


    _DSC4183Mike spent several years working as a technician with Leeds City Council MIS Unit prior to its outsourcing to Enterprise Managed Services Ltd in 2004. He then joined West Leeds High School (now Swallow Hill Community College) as a technician. Mike joined us from RM where he was providing technical support under the Building Schools for the Future project.

    Ian Hornshaw ICT Engineer


    _DSC4183Joining Leeds City Council Education Department in 1998, Ian transferred to Enterprise in 2004, continuing to provide high level technical ICT support and installation services to the authority’s schools.

    Lee Carter ICT Consultant


    SLee brings a wealth of education ICT knowledge to the technical team having been Network Manager at Bruntcliffe High School for 12 years. Lee has spent the majority of his time with us working on Office 365 email migrations and has taken a lead role in delivering Office 365 to our customers.

    Clare Barnett Business Manager


    SClare is responsible for the smooth running of the School ICT Services office and the general administration for the core services offered by the company. Having previously worked in a school office environment, Clare brings some excellent administration and education knowledge to the company.

    Jason Webb Sales and Marketing Manager


    SJason joined the company in October 2015 having spent 10 years working in sales for Sharp Business Systems predominantly in the education sector. Having spent the early part of his career as an IT technical engineer and project manager, he is well placed to work closely with our existing customers to ensure that we continue to meet requirements and introduce relevant new services and technologies to our portfolio.

    Emma Whiteman Customer Account Manager


    SHaving held a number of positions in Administration and Sales, Emma’s last role was working in a Wakefield Primary School as a Teaching Assistant. She therefore brings some excellent education experience coupled with an efficient work ethic and high levels of customer service.

    Louisa Knighton Marketing and Events Co-ordinator

    Louisa joined us in September 2016 after holding a number of marketing roles over her career and most recently worked at Arla Foods as a Brand Manager and we are confident that she will make a positive contribution to our continued growth and success.
